Nothing Can Compare to Being Together in Person! – 2025 NSTA Symposium
I am excited to announce that Dr. Patrick J. Hogan, Director of Puget Sound Neurology in Tacoma, WA, will be joining us at the symposium. Dr. Hogan specializes in treating patients with movement disorders and migraines. He is passionate about providing integrative care to his patients, emphasizing the need to combine lifestyle interventions with traditional medical treatment. Dr. Hogan was the first neurologist in Washington state to be trained to perform Botox injection therapy for neurological disorders. He has been treating dystonias with Botox since 1989 and has since expanded his expertise to use Botox, Myobloc, and Dysport to treat spasticity, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), migraine, and myofacial pain disorders.
Dr. Hogan has spoken at the ST/Dystonia symposiums hosted by the late Howard Theil for many years. Since ST/Dystonia has closed, Dr. Hogan has hosted an annual symposium for dystonia patients for the past couple of years.
His presentation is “Lifestyle medicine for the brain. What everyone can do for themselves to improve the involuntary movements and pain of dystonia”
Dr. Karen P. Frei is no stranger to the NSTA. She is a neurologist in Loma Linda, California and has been in practice for more than 20 years. She is affiliated with Loma Linda University Medical Center-Murrieta. Dr. Frei has been involved with the NSTA since the early 2000’s and currently serves as the Chairman of the NSTA Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Frei has expertise in treating dystonia, non-Alzheimer’s dementia, Parkinson’s disease, among other conditions. She will be attending the Las Vegas symposium and presenting on Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS).
The symposium will take place on April 7th and 8th, 2025 (Monday and Tuesday). This allows us to secure the lowest room rate for the symposium.
